Back5 Recently Opened Projects Mark SlenderWall’s Proven Versatility
Mid-Atlantic region SlenderWall producer Smith-Midland saw five of their most recent projects open for business this past year. From an oceanfront luxury residential complex to a national corporate headquarters, and an urban mixed-use high rise, SlenderWall’s versatility and effectiveness as a high-performance envelope system proved it’s worth.
Check out this list of notable projects:
1. South Beach at Long Branch, NJ
Two luxury towers containing 47 exclusive units sitting oceanfront on the Jersey Shore. Built to withstand the threat of storms while still providing the style needed for multi-million dollar residences.
2. Slugger Office Complex, Greensboro, NC
A unique 9-story office complex overlooking First National Bank Field, home of the Grasshoppers, Greensboro’s South Atlantic League baseball team. The SlenderWall panels feature inlaid thin-brick with banded areas mimicking quarried limestone.
3. The Lumen, Tysons, VA
This 32-story mixed-use high-rise sits prominently above one of America’s fastest growing urban centers, Tysons, VA. National leading builder Lennar Multifamily Communities choose SlenderWall for it’s cost-effectiveness, thermal performance and modern look.
4. Ferguson Enterprises HQ3, Newport News, VA
Their corporate headquarters building needed to be both bold and functional. Architects Clark Nexen looked to SlenderWall for it’s ability to complement the modern design they were set to achieve. Attention to fit, finish and performance standards proved an award winning combination.
5. Hamilton Cove, Lincoln Harbor, Weehawken, NJ
Huge windows framing incredible mid-town Manhattan views and the need for R-24 thermal performance drove the choice of SlenderWall for this expansive luxury waterfront residential complex on the Hudson River. Upon completion it stands as the largest project in the history of the SlenderWall product.
